A "discoidal" from Tennessee. Archaeologists think these are "chunky stones" used in a game something like field hockey. As with the Mayan ball game,
chunky sometimes had ritual meanings, which explains the great care lavished on some of the stones.

A famous "birdstone," the Parks birdstone, found in a field in Indiana, dated to c. 500 BCE.
