A
big new study of distracted driving found that while most people cannot drive and talk on the phone at the same time, "a small group of
supertaskers can." These people, about 2 percent of us, performed just as well at a range of tasks while "dual tasking" as they did while just focusing on one. They seem to have supernormal short-term memories. In our hyper-distracted world, they will end up ruling all of us.
