Xavier Corbero's House

When Catalan sculptor Xavier Corbero found this house in suburban Barcelona, it was a near ruin slated to be demolished for a highway ramp. But it was built in the 17th century and something about it spoke to him, so he managed to to save it from demolition. He acquired not only this house but many other buildings around it. Now he has rebuilt the house into a 21st century showplace and turned the surrounded buildings into a sort of artists' colony.
