Filson Historical Society by De Leon & Primmer

Another interesting project by the Louisville-based architects I wrote about last week. This is an addition to a regional historical society with a large library and research collection, located in a historic neighborhood.

I think this Frank Lloyd Wright-esque design does a good job of fitting into the nieghborhood without being a kitschy copy of the existing houses. It is clearly a new building in a more modern style, but the effect is not at all jarring.

The interior is functional but not ugly.
