A Hole in Mars
This Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter photo shows a crater with a hole in the bottom; the hole is about 35 meters (115 feet) across and seems to open into a cavern 20 m (66 feet) deep. This hole is on the slopes of the
Pavonis Mons
volcano.
