"Worsley Man" is a bodiless head from a British peat bog, buried around 100 AD. CAT scans have recently been carried out on the head, and the doctors say that their "patient" was bludgeoned, garrotted, and finally beheaded.
This makes him, along with Lindow Man, a candidate for a "threefold death," the death in three ways at once that is prominent in Celtic myth and seems to have been part of their sacrificial practice.
