Christchurch Cathedral to be Demolished

Christchurch Anglican Cathedral in Christchurch, New Zealand was badly damaged in their 2011 earthquake, and the church just announced that the building will have to be demolished. The cathedral was only 130 years old. This makes me mindful of how we lucky we are that so many medieval buildings survive in Europe.
