I don't know what the world will be like in 2051, and neither do you. And neither does the person who made this chart, which is designed to scare us into enacting big health care cuts now. Even 5-year budget forecasts are never accurate, and I mean NEVER. So instead of scaring ourselves with bogus projections about the distant future, why don't we just focus on the present? The budget deficit is very high, so let's work to bring it down in the short term and just forget about 2051.

Enough with the 40-Year Budgeting
I don't know what the world will be like in 2051, and neither do you. And neither does the person who made this chart, which is designed to scare us into enacting big health care cuts now. Even 5-year budget forecasts are never accurate, and I mean NEVER. So instead of scaring ourselves with bogus projections about the distant future, why don't we just focus on the present? The budget deficit is very high, so let's work to bring it down in the short term and just forget about 2051.
