Driving across Delaware on my way to visit a site we may dig on later in the summer, I passed this boarded up house. Although I had been working in this general area for years, somehow I never noticed this particular house before. Turns out that this is Achmester, built by Richard Mansfield around 1820. Right now it is remarkably intact, but somebody had better find a use for it soon, or it will fall apart.
