Um,

A Roman pendant recently found by a metal detector enthusiast in Norfolk, England, and announced to the press under the title, "The Golden Phallus." Apparently these are not rare objects, although most are bronze (below).

They are always found on Roman military sites. They may be good luck charms worn by soldiers, or they may be advertisements worn by another sort of person often found around military installations.
