Sad News from Bahrain

Yesterday the government of Bahrain tore down the monument at the Pearl Roundabout that had been the focal point of protests. They did it, said the foreign minister, "to remove a bad memory." No, we can't have memories of people standing up for their rights -- that would be too divisive.
