The departure of the dictator may not end up changing anything in Egypt, but I think it is great that the protesters have achieved
something. I was beginning to worry that the whole rebellion would peter out into disillusionment and stagnation. Now the protesters and their allies have at least rid Egypt of their number one enemy, and that accomplishment may cement the psychological gains of the rebellion even if real democracy is still a long time coming.
