Oella, Maryland, the town just west of Catonsville, is built on steep bluffs overlooking the Patapsco River. In some places space was so tight that houses were built directly against the cliff face. One of those houses burned down several years ago and was not rebuilt, leaving this ruin just a mile or so from my house.
