This is Hong Kong we're talking about -...@John

This is Hong Kong we're talking about - surely any relocation effort would inevitably also mean exporting the Triads as well? And surely both sides would stand to profit from bringing in new population to revitalize the region's economy, and would want to influence and entice the leadership of this program to choose Sicily?G. Yeah, you are sadly not wrong.
It boggles...@David

Yeah, you are sadly not wrong.

It boggles my mind how people who are descended from immigrants, living on land stolen from Mexico through violence, which was itself originally stolen from Native Americans through violence, can turn around and say with a straight face "That foreign language doesn't belong here!".

Huge segments of humanity seem fundamentally incapable of self awareness enough to realize their own staggering hypocrisy and double standards, and it drives me crazy that they just sort of get away with it, and never learn, and pass down their indefensible views as sacrosanct and unquestionable culture and identity, perpetuating injustice and human suffering generation after generation. We all have biases and blind spots, we all are hypocritical at times, but there seems to be many people who simply don't care or will never admit to being wrong, no matter the logic or evidence they are confronted with, and who are essentially psychopathic in their inability to even entertain the possibility of self doubt.

It's a terribly frustrating and depressing perception to have of humanity, but despite wanting to believe it isn't true, it seems to be an undeniable conclusion. Some of us - perhaps even most of us - seem simply incapable of being better or changing our ways for the good of us all.G. Houston has had a large Asian population for decades, and I knew plenty of white folks who definitely did not like it that there were sections where the street signs were in Chinese as well as English.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14456987412710878404noreply@blogger.com
