You...But is that what you call Obama's policy? You were talking about Obama, not Bush.

I always detested Bush's Iraq policy, and supported the war in Afghanistan. Perhaps that distinction is too Jesuitical for the antiwar left.

But in defense of liberals who supported Bush's Iraq war, it should be remembered that they supported Bush's policy as publicly presented, which was based on lies about yellowcake and mobile labs and Iraqi intelligence meeting with al-Qaeda, not on the principle of "killing brown people in the pursuit of justice and democracy." That sort of rhetoric is both unjust and impolitic, if one is sincere about preserving a liberal coalition.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08993570411881726772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8304928500646903522.post-29105785972332965122013-02-16T07:30:06.457-05:002013-02-16T07:30:06.457-05:00What else would you call Bush's invasion of Ir...What else would you call Bush's invasion of Iraq, supported by the Times, the Post and 20 Democratic Senators?Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01037215533094998996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8304928500646903522.post-87975508888630961792013-02-15T22:39:18.967-05:002013-02-15T22:39:18.967-05:00"they are, in fact, interventionists who gene..."they are, in fact, interventionists who generally support killing brown people in the pursuit of justice and democracy"

Really, John?
