Józef Simmler The Death of Barbara Radziwiłł, 1860

I was impressed by this painting, so I looked up Simmler. He was a Polish artist, based mainly in Warsaw, who lived from 1823 to 1868. So far as I can tell he never did anything else that compares to The Death of Barbara Radziwiłł. But below are a couple of nice portraits.
